Deep pothole in road is dangerous

Deep pothole in the road which is dangerous and I drove through it at night time when it was dark. It ripped my tyre and damaged my alloy. The tyre went flat immediately and I had to pay to have it replaced the next day. An unacceptable condition for a road surface and from other nearby residents apparently it has been like that for months. I don’t live in the area so do not know how long it has been there.
