Trees

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to raise concerns regarding a number of very large trees located opposite my property.

The trees are approximately 75–100 feet tall and the branches extend significantly across the road toward my property. In addition, during the autumn and early winter months, the volume of falling leaves causes ongoing problems with blocked drains and gutters, both on the highway and within my property boundary.

The leaf fall is substantial and continuous from approximately October through to January, requiring repeated clearing and disposal at considerable time and expense. The blocked highway drains also appear to contribute to drainage issues in the area.

I would be grateful if the Council could arrange for: - An inspection of the trees and overhanging branches - Assessment of whether pruning or maintenance works are appropriate - Regular clearing of highway drains/gullies affected by the leaf fall - Confirmation of the Council’s maintenance schedule for these trees

Given the size of the trees and the ongoing issues caused, I would appreciate the matter being reviewed by the relevant highways/tree management team.
