Cars, trucks, vans turning at end of Rush Croft

We have been surprised at the number of vehicles turning at the end of the road outside our house (easily 30-40 vehicles throughout the day).
What always happens is the vehicle will drive up to our end of the road, do a 3 point turn (turning towards us first and sometimes right onto the end of our driveway) and go straight back out.
Often drivers are doing this quickly, and distracted because they think it's just a quiet road and are focused on turning around. I've seen some on their phones while doing this.
There are young children and pets here, and will sometimes be out in the front with them and it's feeling pretty unsafe even though this should be a nice quiet road. We do also sometimes get cars coming and waiting in our road (perhaps picking up for the school or the gym/pool/tennis courts) which makes it worse. Is it possible to have a no turning sign?
