De-restricted speed limit sign still on lamp post in a 40mph limit area

Not reported to council

There is a small de-restricted sign on the lamp post on the north side of the round just after the roundabout. This contradicts the 40mph signs that seem to be on the rest of the road. Is this a mistake or is the speed limit de-restricted on that stretch?
