Clothes containers

Reported via mobile anonymously at 20:53, Monday 4 May 2026

Sent to Lambeth Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9398202.

We would like to report an ongoing issue with the large clothes recycling containers located on Clarence Avenue in Lambeth. Unfortunately, these containers are being consistently vandalised, often by individuals struggling with drug addiction or homelessness.

As a result, clothing is frequently scattered across the street, creating an unsanitary and unpleasant environment for residents. In addition, many of these clothes are being taken into the three tower blocks nearby and left in communal areas, including the gardens and lower ground floors.

This situation has become a persistent problem for the local community. We kindly request that Lambeth Council consider removing these clothes recycling containers to prevent further disruption and maintain a cleaner, safer environment for residents.
