Terrible pothole by Weir Road. Ruts in road due to weight of electric bus means cars undercarriage are scraping along road

Reported via mobile in the Potholes category anonymously at 17:26, Sunday 3 May 2026

Sent to Lambeth Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9393291.

Combination of increased weight of electric buses plus very poor road condition and very poor fixing means road is terrible. Why are buses in this small side road? No bus stop here? Could be rerouted to wider road where buses can keep on one side or the other rather than down centre of road. TFL and council should work together

  • Lambeth and TFL need to jointly address this rather than passing to each other. Bus route needs to be changed as this road is suffering from excess weight of electric busea and road needs to be fixed.

  • Can this be addressed? Why does the bus go down this narrow road and damage the road surface? Cars undercarriage is being damaged.
