Tree too tall

This tree is overhanging my garden and branches keep falling into my garden and public pathway! One hit my child recently who was playing in the garden. During a recent storm I was concerned it would fall down. Due to the size of it overhanging my garden pigeons are depositing their waste everywhere and I can no longer let my kids play outside due to both of these issues. I’m concerned not only for my garden but the cars parked nearby and people using the public walkway.
