Water on road not draining away
Reported via desktop in the Drainage category anonymously at 14:04, Friday 1 May 2026
Sent to Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9385508.
This was first reported in Dec 2025. A team arrived yesterday to address the problem. I received an update to say the problem had been rectified. NOTHING was done. The drains need rodding at the very least. 2 puddles still there although warm weather is reducing the size of the puddles. When it next rains the puddles would expand d and the cause of the problem HAS NOT BEEN RECTIFIED.

With this spell of dry weather the affected drains can now be seen. Still water round one. To reiterate this problem was first reported on 6th December. The junction from South Sway Lane to Silver street is very busy, and local road closures have resulted in higher use of heavy goods vehicles which has destroyed both road surfaces and verges.

With this heatwave the drain is now exposed. All its surroundings have been broken, and the pothole produced is a danger to anyone passing neat it - particularly a cyclist
