Extremely Loud Manhole Cover

I would like to report an issue with an extremely loud manhole cover on our street that is significantly affecting residents’ quality of life.
Every time a vehicle passes over the cover, it produces a very loud banging/clattering noise, particularly noticeable during the night when traffic is lighter and background noise is minimal. This disturbance is frequent and severe enough to wake residents from sleep multiple times throughout the night.
The issue has been ongoing for some time and appears to be getting worse, possibly due to the cover becoming loose or improperly seated. The noise is disruptive, stressful, and is impacting sleep and wellbeing for multiple households nearby.
We would greatly appreciate it if this could be inspected and repaired as soon as possible - it’s making me mentally and physically unwell.
