Investigating
Large elongated and deep ridge on the side of the road
Reported via desktop in the Pothole category by Maggie Brown, Clerk to Bourton Parish Council at 21:15, Wednesday 22 April 2026
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9339071.
This pothole/deep ridge has been reported previously and I have been told it has been fixed. However, not only is it still there, it has become more dangerous. It is on the LHS of the road just before the railway bridge on the village side. If another vehicle comes over the bridge you have to pull into the side and you hit the very badly damaged road surface.

I hit this today and was extremely surprised it didnt burst my tyre!! The bridge is single lane only meaning when someone is coming the opposite way you have no choice but to HIT this hole!!! It's very deep and will definitely burst a tyre or possibly seriously injured a biker!!! This has been reported 2 or 3 times and NEVER been done
