Fence needs repairing/replacing, litter, vegetation damaging fencing
Reported via desktop anonymously at 11:42, Wednesday 22 April 2026
Sent to Leeds City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9335337.
There is a chain link fence between the council greenspace and National Highways land. It must be about 40 years old and is in need of repair or replacement. There are a number of holes and damaged areas in it, which could potentially enable children and animals to get on to the M1 motorway. There is also an accumulation of litter/flytipping on the National Highways land and overgrown vegetation which is growing through and further damaging the fence. The section I am concerned about runs from ///debit.token.chairs to about ///shave.plot.dull although there may be more issues south of that section. There is also a section running from about ///filer.sofa.avoid to ///singer.fancy.scale which was replaced relatively recently, but someone has cut the fence open in the vicinity of ///broom.vocab.basin so this needs to be repaired.
