Long deep pothole on the outside edge of the carriageway

This is a very long, deep pothole located on the outer edge of the carriageway. Cudham Lane North is a narrow country lane. Drivers often position themselves over the dividing line, encroaching on the oncoming traffic which forces other people in towards the ditch. When you hit this large road defect, it's so deep that numerous people I know have sustained serious damage to the car, resulting in expensive repairs.
