Dangerous cycling

Reported via iOS anonymously at 17:58, Sunday 19 April 2026

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and South Oxfordshire District Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9319336.

The footpath from great western park / freeman road to mendip heights frequent has cyclists / e-scooter riders travelling at speed around the 90 degree corners with no visibility.

They expect pedestrians / dog walkers / those with limited mobility to get out of their way so they don’t have to slow / stop.

When I have challenged this I have been sworn at, threatened, etc.

Please can the council consider installing barriers / infrastructure to slow cyclists on this narrow footpath with poor visibility.

This is *not* a designated cycle path. While I appreciate how convenient it is to cyclists, current behaviour is dangerous and won’t stop until someone is seriously hurt or infrastructure is installed.
