Drain cover in road exiting Bampton in Station Road on LHS outside The Old Police House has recently become unstable due to road cracks and subsidence. When vehicles drive over it the instability is increased causing a very high penetrating noise which can be heard by the surrounding residences. This drain is next to a pavement which is used frequently and is thus a potential hazard. Despite there being a 20 mph spreed limit, most vehicles exceed this speed thereby making the situation even more dangerous.
