Dyke full of Water- not draining (should be dry ) reported to Highways over a week ago

Reported anonymously at 15:34, Mon 21 November 2016

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council and North Kesteven District Council 1 minute later

There is a dyke located next our property 32 Hillside Estate which is full of water. It is near to flooding. Tried to call floodline (lincs) but no-one is answering left message for them to call back. There seems to be a blockage at one or other end of the dyke which is not letting water drain. Have reported this to Highways ref: 101000167153 but they have bot come back at all. With all the rain we have had it could flood anytime really so someone needs to look at it urgently

  • Please can someone take ownership of problem as not resolved. No-one has bothered to come back . The drainage board for this area is supposed to be contacting the owner of this dyke . Well have you done this as the dyke is full of water. Potentially this is dangerous and could lead to flooding , a small child or animal falling in...please take this seriously and get this sorted. This need to be properly maintained in the future as the dyke should be dry. This is the first time in 8 years that this has happened so please fix this soon.. It is important to ensure that the flooding potential should be prevented not just left. This is also an environmental problem and possible health & safety risk.. Hope you can sort ASAP as have asked about this for well over a month but no-one has done anything about it.
