Cars parking on pavements

Reported in the Car parking category anonymously at 11:11, Sun 20 November 2016

Sent to Rushmoor Borough Council 4 minutes later

All along Long Beach drive and Whitebeam Gardens a lot of residents have started parking on the pavement, this causes mums pushing pushchairs or people in wheelchairs to have to walk in the road. it makes it difficult for emergency services to get through if they needed too and leaves dips in the pavement causing damage to services running underneath and tripping hazards. this has been going on for some time and is getting worse.

  • The council basically said as there are no parking restrictions in these roads there is nothing they can do. If they were parking on the road it wouldn't be a problem but they are parking on the pavement which I am pretty sure is meant for pedestrians, this behaviour is causing people including the disabled and mothers with pushchairs to walk in the road but I guess someone will have to get hurt before anything changes.
