Loaded recovery lorry unmoved for weeks
Reported in the Abandoned vehicles category anonymously at 14:05, Fri 18 November 2016
Sent to Oadby and Wigston Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 929048.
Still the loaded recovery lorry on westfield ave near the junction with burleigh ave is unmoved. Has it been dumped? I thought 'recovery' meant pick up and deliver to somewhere for repair or scrapping, not take to a parking place on a residential street. Please look into this.

Reloaded lorry now being fixed at the roadside. It has not moved for at least 48hrs since the pickup loaded on the back was DRIVEN on. I thought this was a RECOVERY VEHICLE! The repair today apparently required the bonnet to be open and a mechanic to lie partly in the road to fix rear light - this near a road junction. There are a number of vehicles parked permanently(?) around this junction (Burleigh Ave/Westfield Ave. Are they all taxed/insured?

Recovery lorry still parked near corner of Westfield Ave and Burleigh Ave, frequently against traffic. a selection of cars has been parked ad infinitum at top of Burleigh, restricting school parking and helping to lead to unsafe parking at school times. There is at least one car parked in that area with no tax paid - a grey Volksvagen GL54 YYD. It is apparent that this occupation of parking spaces is causing some distress to the local residents.
