Road Surface Causing Damage To Vehicle

Reported via mobile in the Depression in road category anonymously at 18:47, Monday 13 April 2026 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9287361.

Where the roadworks are on Sturminster road the part of road to have to drive on to pass is dangerous. I scrape the front splitter on my standard car all the time. Its like driving on a bad off road track. Traffic has to crawl over it. And at weekends when no lights are there due to parking half on /off the pavement its dangerous as cars come from Stockwood down to roundabout on what is now the wrong side . It is not signed as both ways. Not everyone is aware.

  • I have just blown out a tyre on this ridiculous rd surface. Contractors obviously have no thought in what they are doing

  • We've investigated this enquiry and believe it relates to the same issue that we've seen via a separate enquiry and appropriate action has already been taken. For example, a job may have been raised with our contractors for repair or the issue is not the responsibility of Bristol City Council.
