Parking on corners, restricting view for cars exiting Thomas Lane

Sent to Liverpool City Council 5 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 928140.
I am a resident of Rudyard Road, and regularly use the exit at the church end of Thomas Lane (junction of Thomas Lane/Brookside Ave). Recently - certainly since the opening of the new Alder Hey hospital - there has been a growing problem with car owners parking along Thomas Lane; obviously there are advantages to parking F.O.C. in an area inclose proximity to two hospitals (Broadgreen is just a 5 minute walk). However, with flagrant disregard for both the Highway Code and public safety, there are more and more people parking on the corner(s) and along Thomas lane, severly restricting the view for anybody exiting this junction. It is now the norm to have to 'shuffle out' exremely tentatively hoping to eventually get a good view both ways in order to make the manouvre. As a motorist who uses this particular junction two or three times every day, I am most concerned at this dangerous precedent. Today, before I could get a satisfactory view to proceed I had to creep forward until my car was almost halfway across the junction - very, very scary, particularly when met with oncoming traffic (buses, especially) approaching along Thomas Lane from the south heading toward the roundabout at the Prescot Road end. More worryingly, I usually have my four year old daughter in the back - as an area that contains access to both a school and pre school nursery I am sure I am far from being the only parent being forced to negotate this lethal scenario every day. The answer would be to paint yellow lines on the corners outside the residential houses and the church for approx 20m each way - this would at least allow drivers the luxury of safe visibility when trying to exit this busy junction. (As a local resident there are parking issues causing safety hazards and inconvenience on a daily basis, but the provision of 'Resident parking only' signs, speed bumps etc. - similar to the areas surrounding the old Alder Hey and Broadgreen Hospitals - are probably not just a little too optimistic to hope for without all the local homeowners getting together and petitioning, but should anyone be in the slightest bit interested I'll be happy to instigate the proceedings! It would be interesting to hear the views of other locals concerned for their safety, convenience and privacy and also those of the council/police departments responsible for such decisions....)

I had an almost immediate acknowledgement from the council dept responsible but since then, nothing - no contact and no attempt to investigate the problem as far as I can see...

Still no action..... Starting to wonder, what was the point? The problem still exists - certainly at its worst during peak times (school run etc)....maybe it was investigated on a quiet Sunday morning!
