Concerns about width of lanes on Portway

Reported via desktop in the Problem with BCC highway works undertaken category anonymously at 08:58, Friday 10 April 2026 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9268895.

Experienced driver, driving small truck on portway outbound, maybe approx half way going out of city, the road works are complete in this area and 2 lanes, was overtaking a small bus, but as lanes are very narrow, hit a traffic sign on the central reservation with his wing mirror, the bus was driving correctly and so was truck driver, please look into this, concerned if the road width is actually sufficient, and certainly a larger truck would have problems overtaking a bus for example.
