Road markings invisible

Reported via desktop in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 17:16, Tuesday 7 April 2026

Sent to Richmond upon Thames Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9253319.

The road markings at the junction between King's Rd & Sheen Road are not visible. The give way & middle of carriage way lines are not there so drivers are not being guided on where to stop, where to turn or who has right of way, Pedestrians trying to cross the road are not safe here now - drivers are not following the highway code. There is a nursery and two primary schools close to this junction. The road paint needs reapplying to improve safety.

Updates

  • Nearly got hit by a driver as I was crossing the road here. There are no road markings - driver was cutting corner and might have been more conscious of their position on the road if there had been markings.
