Multiple large potholes with exposed aggregate at junction of Normanton Road and Shaftesbury Road, Cheadle Heath

Reported via mobile in the Potholes category anonymously at 17:29, Monday 6 April 2026

Sent to Stockport Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9246918.

There are multiple large deep potholes at the junction of Normanton Road and Shaftesbury Road, Cheadle Heath, Stockport. The potholes feature fully exposed and protruding aggregate stones at road surface level with extensive cracking across a wide area of the junction. The defects were present on 27 March 2026 and remain unrepaired as of 6 April 2026. The potholes have caused damage to my vehicle — specifically both front splitter attachments on my BMW M340i. This junction carries significant traffic including vehicles turning and I would consider this a hazard to all road users including cyclists and motorcyclists. Urgent repair is required.
