Repeated foul spill (?left by bin collection?)

Reported via mobile in the Hazardous spillage on road category anonymously at 16:54, Saturday 4 April 2026

Sent to Bromley Council 2 weeks, 4 days, 16 hours, 36 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 9239664.

This occasionally gets cleaned up but always returns: There's a foul spillage in front of our block, covering a patch about 3 metres long with an unpleasant smell. From the location, I'd guess it's being caused every time the bins nearby are collected. I appreciate the hard work of our waste collection team but on this one spot something seems to be going wrong during the collection, causing a spillage of liquid from the bins - I might be wrong about this but can't think of another way it could keep appearing.

  • Appropriate action has not been taken, we still have the foul sludge on our street making the whole area less pleasant. We're getting more sunshine and warm weather now which is only going to make this worse. Please can you take action to clean the area and avoid fouling it in future. Thank you.
