Why are there no speed cameras on this road?

Reported via mobile in the Request for works on my street category anonymously at 17:49, Friday 3 April 2026

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9236424.

I regularly use this road to walk to and from work when using the Metrobus routes off the Bradley Stoke Bypass road. However vehicles using this road despite the visible request to drive at 20 don't do so and fly down this road dangerously, especially when driving round the corner off the traffic lights on the bypass, as well as at the other end by the Aviva building when using the junction there. I have come close to being hit by a number of drivers on this road and they never slow down until we pedestrians take matters into our own hands and shout at them not to do so. People use this road regularly as a short cut, they don't even live there most of them. I have also seen drivers cut corners on this road or be right over towards pedestrians where the footpaths drop in places and have come close to taking out pedestrians without them realising they're doing so. Please address this matter urgently before someone gets killed.
