Both No Entry signs have been painted over

Reported via mobile in the Damaged category anonymously at 15:11, Friday 3 April 2026

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9235804.

Someone has painted over the no entry signs at the bottom of Park Street. We already have problems with people driving the wrong way up this one way street, and now people seem to think this is allowed because the signs have been painted over. It is possible that this was done during one of the many recent episodes of road works when 2 way traffic was temporarily permitted, but it needs to be reverted to normal now.

  • This really needs sorting out. Just seen an accident on Charlotte Street with a van driving up the wrong way. It is only a matter of time before someone is hit rather than another vehicle.

  • Both no entry signs at the bottom of Charlotte Street (junction with Park Street) are still painted over. Cars continue to drive recklessly the wrong way up the one way street. There have already been collisions with parked and moving cars because of this, it’s only a matter of time until someone gets hurt.

    Still open, via questionnaire

  • Continuing to see vehicles cutting up Charlotte Street illegally, please restore the signage asap as it is dangerous
