Cars dumped on yellow lines

Reported via mobile in the Abandoned vehicles category anonymously at 19:32, Thursday 2 April 2026

Sent to Lewisham Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9232958.

These cars were dumped nearly a week ago 28th March and are still there nearly a week later 2nd April. I contacted Lewisham Council parking control on Monday and was told that parking enforcement patrol every day. The person I spoke to who refused to give his name said someone would attend that same day. The last picture was taken today 2nd April. Parking control definitely does not patrol everyday as these cars have not been ticketed once and are still there. This is causing an obstruction and near accidents as you cannot see into the turning. They have visible number plates so there is no excuse not to ticket them (one of the many excuses given).

Updates

  • The Nissan has not been taxed or moted for 3 years

  • I recieved an update saying the cars had been checked and are taxed. Being taxed was not the issue, the issue is they are dumped and parked here causing a hazard. The Nissan has since been moved onto another set of double yellow lines and then onto one of the garages tow trucks which is double parked and another issue. Not sure why it has been closed as both parking control are still not doing their job and cars are constantly parked on the double yellow lines causing a hazard.
