The drain is blocked problem
FixMyStreet ref: 9230462.
There is a drain carrying water under the road outside that is blocked and as a result the water is flowing down the hill. This has been recently been blocked for the last month. The customer has mentioned that it is not in the same Place as the last time this happened it is in a different section of the pipe.

We will investigate the issue. If additional clearance work is needed, the local highways team will prioritise the most urgent reports. Where possible, maintenance tasks will be grouped together in a schedule for efficiency.
Sometimes during periods of heavy rain, even a clear gully can be overwhelmed. Usually the water will drain away within an hour.
