Dangerous signage - Tewkesbury Half Marathon

I’ve reported this via the Highways website but their response time of up to ten days is not good enough when there is an immediate danger due to badly placed signage. Can someone please make direct contact to have them remove it immediately.

There is a road closure sign placed right on the carriageway at the junction of the A38 and Ashchurch Road opposite Morrisons.

I attach a photo taken by my passenger to illustrate how cars turning left into town have to swerve across the road when faced, with no warning, with the sign in the road. As it is a non illuminated sign I foresee an accident occurring after dark if not during the day.

As the marathon is three weeks away this sign presents an ongoing danger to drivers and needs to be repositioned immediately somewhere safe.
