Large potholes being ignored

Reported via desktop in the Pothole category anonymously at 14:01, Thursday 26 March 2026

Sent to Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9192472.

There are several large deep potholes approaching the roundabout, in the carriageway / crossing zone. Both a danger to motorists & pedestrians.

This was previously reported 21/02/2026 Hampshire County Council Highways enquiry reference number is 21872878 however , HCC simply ignored it, marking the safety defect as "No further action" on 24th Feb.

WHY has nothing been done to resolve this issue, not even marked up? Not good enough.

This safety defect needs actual repair, not just brushing off as HCC seem to be doing regularly with road safety issues, particularly potholes.

  • Years of neglect has caused this, not one very mild winter.. Expect these to remain for more months to follow or, if like the one on Odiham road opposite Dares Farm, years to follow.. None of this is acceptable for the huge tax burden we suffer.
