Manhole cover banging

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9185328.

The manhole cover on the northbound side of the pedestrian crossing is banging loudly every time a vehicle drives over it. Previously reported on ref. 8731918, but only the southbound side was rectified.

  • Thames Water have advised that they have investigated the manhole covers on the northbound side and they do not belong to them. LBB need to find out who is responsible for these and arrange for corrective action.

  • The manhole is still continually banging (no wonder no-one has bought the new flats opposite!). Please provide an update on what is being done about this.

  • Thank you for your patience whilst we investigated this matter. We have now received confirmation that Thames Water has accepted responsibility for the covers in question. Following this confirmation, we have referred the issue back to Thames Water and requested that they arrange the necessary repairs. Thank you
