Urgent: Dangerous pothole at edge of carriageway on 50 mph road

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to report a dangerous pothole located at the edge of the carriageway on a road with a 50 mph speed limit.

The pothole is quite deep and difficult to avoid, particularly given its position near the edge of the road. Vehicles travelling at this speed have very little time to react, and swerving to avoid it may put drivers at further risk.

There are currently no warning signs or markings in place to alert road users. Hitting this pothole could cause serious damage to vehicles and poses a significant safety hazard.

I would appreciate it if this issue could be inspected and addressed as a matter of urgency.

  • I nearly hit this pot hole yesterday at 50mph, could it please be fixed asap? This is a very dangerous spot for a pothole. I can see it was reported in January originally.
