I’m starting to wonder if this street has been unofficially reclassified as a dumping ground and night-time car park because that’s exactly how it’s being treated.
There is a growing pile of fly-tipped rubbish here. Bags, loose waste, and random items that clearly didn’t just appear by accident. This is deliberate dumping and it’s becoming a regular occurrence.
On top of that, the area is constantly left covered in litter. McDonald’s packaging, empty bottles, and general rubbish scattered around after nights out. It feels like people treat this as an extension of the pub rather than a residential street where families actually live.
The situation escalates every Friday night and Saturday night. People come specifically to park here to go to the nearby Latin pub, taking up already limited resident parking spaces. Then around 2–3am they return making excessive noise, shouting, blasting music, slamming doors, and leaving even more rubbish behind.
More concerningly, many of them appear to be driving off while intoxicated. This is not just anti-social behaviour, it’s dangerous and puts residents at real risk.
So currently we have: Fly-tipping during the day Littering with fast food and bottles Loss of resident parking due to non-residents Late-night noise disturbance on Fridays and Saturdays Suspected drink driving
If this continues, we may as well give the rubbish its own postcode and install traffic lights for the 3am exit queue.
Please can this be addressed urgently, both clearing the waste and considering enforcement such as parking controls, monitoring, or patrols. Residents are paying for permits and deserve basic safety, cleanliness, and the ability to sleep at night.
Thank you for your help on behalf of residents who would really like their street back.
