Investigating
Slabs covering hole in verge have broken/moved and have left a dangerous open hole.
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9169147.
I believe the farmer drove over this in a tractor and there is now a dangerous open hole on the verge. There is also a lot of water on the verge further along towards Tiddington which could be related as it occurred at the same time. Apparently Thames Water have said it is not a leak and not their responsibility but it must be coming from somewhere on the verge.

The picture that I sent previously shows what this was like previously, but the slabs are dangerously tipped up and on their side, possibly broken, leaving a dangerous hole like a well. There is a risk of animals and people falling down into this. The road is too unsafe and too busy for me to take a recent photo.

How has this been under investigation since March? Its an open hole like a well in the verge. It just needs slabs moving back or replaced but it is too unsafe for members of the public to do this.

It is now the 28th May!!! Over 2 months since the above person reported this. As per their last update, the slabs have tipped up/caved in! I dread to think how many animals have fallen into that big hole and died and agonising death. Do something about it before someone gets seriously hurt. If someone were to break down along there at night and step in that area not realising it...
