Build up of leaf litter
Reported via Android in the Environmental Services category anonymously at 16:30, Friday 20 March 2026
Sent to Bromley Council 3 days, 17 hours, 45 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 9156206.
The footpath on Chelsfield Lane alongside the boundary with Tripes Farm is reduced in width due to a build up of leaf litter and other organic matter. Cutting back of vegetation has taken place in the past but the detritus remains alongside the fenceline reducing the footpath width by up to 50-60cm in some places. This means two people are unable to walk side by side and is an unacceptable loss of footpath. Previous report for this area resulted in a bit of sweeping around the Alma Road bus stop area where I used a photo as an EXAMPLE. Once again I must stress this is an issue along the ENTIRE BOUNDARY with the Farm. It's taken decades for this detritus to build up. A quick sweep in one small area is not adequate. Again. Requires digging out, cutting back in places to the fenceline and removal. This is NOT a 5 minute job.
