Tree is damaged problem

Dear Sir/Madam
Over a year ago a GCC Highways tree fell down and damaged the fencing in front of Circus Nursery on Pittville Circus Road. The tree was removed by your contractor.
The roots were supposed to be removed as a priority, because they stand at around 70cm tall in the verge and next to a parking bay. This parking bay is used by parents delivering their young children to the nursery and the standing root gets in the way of opening the car door.
Would you please have a look at this and let me know if removal of the root is scheduled please? OR at least could you ask the contractor to cut it down to a much lower height?

This report has now been passed to the Highways team for assessment.
If repair work is required, it will either be classed as urgent or will be put into a planned programme of works to ensure it is repaired as efficiently as possible.
In some cases a temporary repair will be needed, to make the area safe, then engineers will return to make a permanent repair.
