Cars parking on grass verges

Reported via mobile in the Obstruction on road or pavement category anonymously at 08:07, Thursday 19 March 2026 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9144443.

Cars are always being parked on the grass verges near 17 Southlands. They are ruining the grass which is always covered in muddy tyre tracks. Please could you put simple small fences around the grass at kerbside like there are around the grass near the bollards at the other end of Southlands to stop this from happening. Cars are also being parked dangerously on corners which would limit access for emergency vehicles . Cars are also being double parked on the main stretch of Southlands, especially at the beginning to middle part of the week.

  • The grassed areas belong to Curo (not the council). You will have to approach them for fencing (Good luck!)

Yellow lines might help… that is one for the councillors.
