Loose/rocking manhole cover causing loud noise when vehicles pass over it on the road outside our development (A4130).

The manhole cover appears to be loose or not properly seated. When heavier vehicles such as vans, buses, or lorries drive over it, it produces a loud banging or rattling noise. This happens frequently and causes a significant noise disturbance that wakes people in nearby homes. The cover likely needs inspection and securing or repair.

  • The manhole is located just outside the Dida Gardens development. When exiting Dudcote Field and turning left onto the A4130, the manhole is positioned immediately on the road at that junction.
