Newly errected fence causing urgent safety concern A38

Reported via desktop in the Signs, barriers or materials left by contractor category anonymously at 10:34, Monday 16 March 2026 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Gloucestershire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9114066.

A new erected fence at the former A38 cafe (now jerry can) is causing a serious safety concern when trying to pull out of the lane from Ripple. The chap on-site reliably informed me if you pull up the white line you can clearly see oncoming vehicles. That is not the case, you have to be well over the lines to safely see what is coming. Please can we have this urgently investigated and to see if planning has been put forward for this fence. This is a 50+ mph stretch of road is was already quite dangerous when pulling out. Lots of residents have mentioned this recently.
