A new English native hawthorn tree has been planted here yesterday. Can we please ask that you help by watering it right away if you are able given the high temperatures now. The green watering bag should be filled often so that water slowly seeps into soil over a 24 hour period. We kindly ask all residents who are willing and interested to water trees in addition to our crews who water them in the summer. Simple weeding and mulching around the base of the trees using the material immediately around the trees will also help increase their chances of survival and good growth. Planting bulbs or annual flowers is also ok. Please take all required precautions. See more info at Tree Friends (bromley.gov.uk) and Arboricultural Association - Watering young trees in dry weather
