  • Thames Water have been to the site and assessed. They have confirmed it is NOT sewage. Thames Water engineer believes that there is a blockage in the underground storm drainage pipe causing water to surface outside house number 23 and run overground past house numbers 21,19 and 17 after which the runoff is collected in the storm drain on Tanners Lane, opposite 3 Partridge Court. The overland flow has been consistent for over three months causing mud and algae in the street along the curb. Residents of 21,19 and 17 Roundclose Road have to walk through mud and algae to access their front doors. The flow has subsided today 11/03/26 for the first time in several months(likely because of less rainfall), however the blockage likely remains.

  • Thames Water assessed the site and stated it that the issue is not caused by Thames Water pipes, and it is a drainage issue that is the responsibility for Oxfordshire CC, Cherwell District Council or specific Parish Council to resolve the issue.
