First reported in October 2025, despite being a priority. Why is the tree on the other side of the roundabout being pruned today?

  • Thank you for your report, Our contractors have lots of tree work in this area the works are issued to the teams by the contracts manager. a accurate location as in the tree you have reported in the past will greatly assist us.

  • The tree in question is located on the green area on the roundabout between Laburnum Way and Faringdon Avenue. The growth has been considerable over the last couple of years and the overhang and root growth is very likely to cause damage to property. i

  • Thank you for your comments. The Oak at this location is part of our insurance pruning programme which according to our records which regrowth was last removed on the 10/03/26 with next cycle of pruning due in 2029. The Oak on the opposite site of the roundabout is part of the insurance programme last cycle completed in 2024 and next due in 2027.

  • I would like to dispute whether this tree has been pruned. Do you have before and after photos of evidence that this work has been carried out. I have been advised that it appears the regrowth is between 4-5 years. There is considerable overhang.
