Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to request assistance regarding ongoing issues we have been experiencing at our property during our building works. Over the past few months, we have had several incidents of fly tipping on our driveway. On each occasion, I have had to arrange and pay for the removal of the waste myself. Unfortunately, the situation has continued and I have now reached the point where I feel I need the council’s support. Currently, there are two fridges that have been dumped on our drive and tipped over. Last month, a bed and mattress were also fly tipped outside our property. The mattress alone cost me a considerable amount of money to have removed. In addition to this, we are also experiencing ongoing issues with vehicles parking across our driveway, preventing access. This has caused further problems with the skip company collecting our skip during the building works, as they charge a call-out fee each time they are unable to access it. These issues are becoming increasingly difficult and costly for us to manage ourselves. I would therefore appreciate it if the council could investigate this matter and advise what action can be taken to help prevent further fly tipping and parking obstruction outside our property. Thank you for your time and assistance. I look forward to hearing from you.

As the issue concerns rubbish on an area which is not public highway or is regarding pest control or other public health issue, this report has been passed to Environmental Health to investigate and is now closed on FixMyStreet. For information, enforcement action against rubbish will be taken depending on the nature of the accumulation. Bromley Council only have powers to enforce the removal of rubbish which contains material that could attract pests or pose a risk to public health.
