2ft long 10cm deep pothole near entrance/exit to cycle path

This pothole is significantly deep and right next to a cycle path. Unknown how long the pothole has been here. While cycling at night the area is not well lit and has cause me personal injury and damage to my bike after coming off and sliding down the road as a result.
