Concern regarding private parking enforcement at Honeys Green Precinct

Reported via iOS in the Car parking category by David Brookes-Lennon at 14:34, Thursday 5 March 2026

Sent to Liverpool City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9052373.

Dear [Council / Parking Team], I wanted to raise an issue that has been brought to my attention by residents regarding the private car park at Honeys Green Precinct, Leyfield Road, West Derby, Liverpool, L12 9JH. The car park is now managed by a private parking company and signage has been installed stating that it is private land with 45 minutes free parking for customers only. However, a number of residents have allocated parking spaces associated with their homes which require access via this car park. Residents have explained that visitors who have legitimately visited their homes have received parking charges despite using spaces that are allocated to the properties. This situation is causing understandable concern for residents, as visitors accessing their homes and allocated spaces are at risk of receiving parking charges. While I appreciate the land may be privately managed, I would be grateful if the council could look into this situation and engage with the relevant parties to see whether a fair and practical arrangement can be put in place that allows residents and their visitors to access their allocated spaces without fear of receiving charges. Many thanks for your time and assistance. Kind regards, David Brookes-Lennon
