Road safety concern outside school. Honeys Green Lane verges

Reported via iOS in the Pavements/footpaths category by David Brookes-Lennon at 14:17, Thursday 5 March 2026

Sent to Liverpool City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9052261.

Dear Highways Team, I wanted to raise a safety concern regarding the verges on Honeys Green Lane opposite numbers 61 and 63 outside the school. The grass verges have become heavily damaged and now dip significantly, likely due to vehicles mounting them during school drop off and pick up times. The uneven ground now presents a clear trip and safety hazard, particularly given the number of pupils and parents walking along the pavement. Although there are “No stopping Mon–Fri 8am–5pm on school entrance markings” restrictions in place, the condition of the verges suggests vehicles may still be stopping or pulling onto them. Could the council please look at repairing the damaged verges and increasing traffic warden presence during school drop off and pick up times to deter vehicles mounting or parking on them. Given this is directly outside a school, I would appreciate this being looked at as a safety priority. Kind regards, David Brookes-Lennon
