My building is noticeably shaking due to passing road traffic.

Reported via desktop in the Road Defect category anonymously at 11:32, Sunday 1 March 2026 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bromley Council 5 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 9021106.

Building is noticeably shaking due to passing road traffic. The vibrations occur at multiple times per day and night; causing sleep disturbance during the night and are more frequent during rush hours (6.30 - 8am)

The vibrations are disruptive and concerning, particularly as they feel structural rather than minor surface movement.

They are strong enough to cause structural damage; bed visibly shakes and pictures on my walls shake and glass items rattle, cracks have appeared in walls over the last 2 months. Problem seems to have started in the past 2 years and specifically since the major electrical works happened on Lawrie Park Road. The most recognisable noise and vibrations seem to come from the regular buses which pass by every 10-15 mins 197 and 167, 167 is a 24 hour service hence the disturbance throughout the night. To be clear the buses have only recently become a problem which leads me to believe it’s the road surface change and not the buses at the root cause.
