Living in layby

Reported via desktop anonymously at 16:47, Saturday 28 February 2026

Sent to Cherwell District Council and Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9018542.

Several vehicles have been living in the layby for the past months, they have no sanitary arrangements or waste disposal other than the public bins. This needs to be stopped before it becomes an encampment.

Council ref: ENQ261089099

  • Thank you for your report and apologies for the delay in a response. Could you please let us know if this is still an issue or if this has now been resolved? If this is still an issue, could you please provide detailed location information of the issue as this has been pinned off highway and we need to make clarify the ownership of the layby before we can proceed. Many thanks and kind regards
