Number 8 springhill road goring on thames, Tree overhanging the property

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9016322.

This tree overhangs our garden and its roots come under our fence causing problems in our garden and stopping other plants from growing. The tree has previously split due to children climbing on it. It also appears to be causing some pavement movement. Could this tree be removed please. Is it our responsibility or the councils?

  • Thank you for your enquiry. We have spoken to our highway records team. They have concluded that the tree is on your land and responsibility if you decide to carry out works on the tree please check with South Oxfordshire District Council that the tree does not have a Tree Protection Order (TPO) on it.
