Drivers using footpath as road. Damage to path and communal areas
Reported via mobile in the Dangerous road surface (including ice, mud, spillage or debris) category anonymously at 17:58, Friday 27 February 2026
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9014089.
Drivers are using the narrow footpath from 140 to 152 Southlands as a road. This is damaging the surface, wrecking communal grassed areas and bringing mud onto the path. It is also unsafe if someone is walking on the path or children are there, and someone drives up. Delivery drivers block the path totally, and sometimes reverse at speed.
Can we have a lockable bollard as used elsewhere on Southlands to allow emergency vehicles only? This can’t go on. Thank you.
