Suspected Long Stay Parking on Easy Road to save the cost of parking in Leeds
Reported in the Car parking category anonymously at 20:33, Thu 22 September 2016
Sent to Leeds City Council 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 900621.
Increasing disruption to the surrounding businesses due to cars being left for many ours. It looks like cars are being left by workers as they are parked for the majority of the day, which is causing a problem for the shops and their customers. Deliveries are becoming impossible and frequently vehicles are being parked irresponsibly (see attached pictures). Not only is this causing a problem for the turnover of the shops as passing trade is lost, but it is also dangerous for pedestrians as dropped curbs are being blocked, access to road ends are being restricted and I have observed numerous times large lorries and buses having difficulty turning out of Dial Street and into Easy Road.

It has not been fixed, same problem as previously been submitted, but why have traffic wardens not been combing this area, as there is many cars' parking breaking the law!! Which, create problems for road users, pedestrians and business.

Getting worse not better, in need of lines on the street and traffic wardens on the street due to dangerous parking.. traffic for ever hitting their horns as cars pulling out, as they are unable to see oncoming traffic.. is there anywhere you can send pictures to the police?

I thought this was going to change.. other areas have notices posted on walls (I.e. Ls16 area) and we're done within three months.. not here. Why is that??? When are the restrictions happening!!! It's going to be too late for the small business a owners in this area.

Double yellow ristrictions on this road are unlikely to be implimented due to the high volume of commercial businesses who would suffer if people were unable to park for short stays. 20 minute short stay parking should be allowed. a petition should be compiled by effected residents and submitted to the town hall c/o highways england. introduction of a zebra crossing and a 20 mile per hour speed restriction has not improved the road at all
ON GOING PROMBLEM. no signs of improvement, in fact its worse over past 6 months.

Not content with parking all day. cars are now being left covering side streets and obstructing access for bin collection and business deliveries.
What can be done??
This problem has been getting progressively worse.

Yet again on my wheelchair and someone parked across the drop kerb and on the drop kerb plus on the double yellow lines. Told the fish and chip shop off. But he says it has nothing to do with him and point a different car out which is his. So sorry chop shop.
